World Book Day 2022
Happy World Book Day from all of us at St James Primary School!
We spent the day reading with our 'buddies'
It was the 25 year anniversary of World Book Day on 3rd March and we celebrated this brilliant event all week at school.. We dressed up as a favourite book character and brought in £1 to donate to World Book Day’s charity to help supply books for children who don’t have any.
We marked the day with a special assembly in the morning and a buddy reading session in the afternoon and we met with authors and illustrators to inspire us to not only to read but also to write. We also had a visit from Muswell Hill Children’s Bookshop to talk about and share some of our favourite books and discover new and exciting ones in the process.
