School Trips
At St James Primary School, all our children go on school trips and visits. A copy of the details of your child's trip will be sent home via email. There are always extra copies available outside the School Office. The date of their trip will also be on the Calendar and we'll tell you all about them in the weekly newsletter.
If you would like to accompany a class on their school trip let the Office know that you are available and they will get back to you to let you know if your help is needed. We try to make it as fair as possible and give all parents who would like to go the chance.
If you have been picked to help with a trip then you will be asked to read and sign the parent volunteer guidelines which you can find here and the parent volunteer agreement form which you can find here.
When our children go on school trips it is vital that we have their up to date medical details such as doctors name, any allergies, parent's emergency contact number, so we will regularly send home a medical consent form by email.
This year we are aiming to streamline the paperwork we ask you to complete when your child goes on a school trip or visit. From now, you only have to give your consent once for the whole of the academic year. You can find this form here and there are plenty of copies outside the School Office and also on our website. Rest assured we will still send information home about every trip your child is due to go on and give parents the chance to come with us if they would like to, so you will still be fully informed at all times.
We hope you find this more helpful and less time consuming than before.
