After School Clubs

At St James, we run a variety of after school clubs for our children. Many of them are run by outside providers and there is a limited number of spaces available in each. For more information on availability, prices and dates, please contact the club direct or pop into the School Office.

Because we need to keep the children who stay after school for our various clubs safe and secure, we will be locking the playground gates at 4pm.  We would appreciate your help in vacating the playground before this time and collecting your children at the end of their after school club from the main school entrance near the office.  Thank you.

After School Club Information

Football

More than just kicking and scoring, Premier football sessions are designed so that each child will leave having improved a transferable skill.  For younger children, we use football as a fun way to build co-ordination, agility and ball control, without the worries of a competitive game. Plus, every child scores a goal!  For older children, we help them build on their skills and techniques at their own pace through a wide range of activities and exercises. Gardening

From Monday 28^th February, we will be starting a new after school gardening club for Year 1 to Year 4.  This will be run by Mrs Muggleston and children will learn about plants and insects and take part a range of activities such as planting bulbs and seeds, creating insect houses and bird feeders and painting signs and wooden planters in our school playgrounds.

Acting Up Drama Club 

Drama Club is a great way to expand children's listening and communication skills. Through the creativity of drama, children learn how to work positively in a group, give constructive feedback, and build resilience, as well as learning the skills to become actors!  Call Chantelle on 07815 540 177 for more information. 

Chess club .

Gymnastics

Art club

Each week in Art Club the children will explore a new project, from watercolour planets to character design, logos to pastel portraits. LAMDA Classes

Achieve Arts Speech and Drama School will be running their LAMDA Acting classes at our school starting in September. You can book  a free trial for your child on their website www.achievearts.co.uk.  Achieve Arts are also offering a £25.00 discount to St James students!

Our Extended After School Club at St James Primary School

Our extended after school club is run by Energy Kidz, who are  a leading provider of out of school childcare for primary school aged children, offering fun and affordable childcare delivered in a safe and supervised environment.

• Ensure all the Consent questions, Collector, Emergency Contacts and Doctor details are added.
• After this click on Book Activity to make a booking.
• Select the dates you wish to book!
